Reflections of time spent on The Mediterranean in Malta + Gozo

It was not what I had planned or even remotely what I expected. The incredible retreat I had spent two years making - from dreaming it up, planning, orchestrating, researching, promoting, marketing, finalizing details - ended up not happening at all as I had dreamed it would.

Within the final 30 days, it changed dramatically.

I will not spend time here illustrating the challenges I faced personally and professionally at this time (you can read all about that on my Instagram)....But I will share the end result.

It wasn't the Retreat I wanted....But it was the one I needed.

What I ended up creating for the women who stayed with me, was an intimate, personalized retreat: 7 nights in our own private villas, specially catered meals that satisfied the palette with the tastes of the Sea and the Sun, respite to relax and regenerate the soul amid the scurry of tiny lizards, giant prickly pear cactus plants and heavenly bougainvillea. Curated excursions on the Sea, as well as visits to Medieval cities, an ancient temple, and culturally appropriate experiences and workshops.

As much as I would have loved to have shared my ancestral homeland with the other women who signed up for this time of wellness and togetherness, I'm truly happy with the women who did show up - not just for me, but FOR THEMSELVES!!! Because this time was 100% about each of them feeling joy, wonder and having the time to reflect on their journey to The Mediterranean: Their WHY for this retreat! And holding space for their WHY's was a sacred part of the experience for me. And they reciprocated in kind.

I am truly, thankful to the beautiful, gracious souls who trusted me to provide this magical time in Gozo + Malta.
